The Secret Art Of Pool eBook Mr Lee Brett
I thought it was light on the quantity of content. The pages aren't numbered but I'd guess there are about 100 pages. Each page has large type with generous spacing. One of the most content packed pages contained 15 sentences. I liked many of the points Mr. Brett stressed in the book but I didn't find "The Secret Art of Pool" contained within. If you're looking at purchasing this book, look at "Play Great Pool" by Mark Wilson instead. It cost almost 3X as much but it has 4 to 5 times as much content. Mr. Wilson's book is also a hardcover with many photographs illustrating the finer points.

The Secret Art Of Pool eBook Mr Lee Brett Reviews
Solid information here. He takes a meat and potatoes approach to articulating his philosophy about stroke, alignment, grip and competition. What he describes here is seldom found anywhere else in billiards literature. He isn't the most skilled writer but is very effective at getting his point across in a way that's easy to understand, a characteristic of many great teachers. I would say this is definitely worth the money spent.
Lee does a good job filling in the gaps in fundamentals, grip, pre shot routine, sighting and stance. I'd suggest also getting his DVD. This is a self published book and worth the price, but I'd suggest making it a companion to his DVD.
I liked his analysis and explanation of different methods of accomplishing the goal of pocketing object balls. Percentage wise , with less misses in between.
Can't wait to work on a few things he suggested .
This is a book for serious pool players. If you have the DVD with it to clarify the book, it is well
worth the money. You will really raise your level of play if you take your time with the book.Keep in
mind that the book is greatly supplemented by the DVD.
Very knowledge ,get the DVD and study it over and over every time you look at the DVD you fine something new.
Lee's book arrived a couple of days ago. For anyone sitting on the bench before ordering waiting to see what others think, it is outstanding! It encompasses everything that I had to painstakingly figure out on my own for 20 years and MORE.
Lee Brett should rename his book the, "REAL Secrets of Pool." I can't tell you how many videos and books I've purchased through the years that claimed to have 'pool secrets' only to be disappointed by snake oil.
The neat thing about Lee Brett's book is that, even for advanced players, it will help them rethink and perfect their game in areas such as the PSR. In my case, I already had figured out that I needed to turn the SC off etc. when entering the box. Lee Brett gives the reader a methodology for filing the concepts in the brain easily.
Lee Brett is teaching things that great players don't want you to know. This book would have shaved huge amounts of time off my learning curve, and as I previously stated, it will give advanced players a means of refining and verifying their methods.
He teaches proper fundamentals and mechanics.
This is a must have for any serious player.
This is a very sparse, poorly written and poorly editted book. There are no page numbers or Table of Contents. The descriptions are confusing at best. Obviously from the level of the players referenced in the Testimonial section, Brett knows his stuff. The problem is that Brett is not a writer and writing is not his best way to communicate. Brett refers to the LEAD LEG as the back leg. Maybe this is a Brittish thing? Most of the advice is pretty standard stuff. There is little new material here. The single exception is the "V" grip. This is the only new information that I found in the book. Although Brett tries, his description of the "V" grip is very confusing. A couple of photos of the "V" grip would have cleared it up. I was able to find a much better explanation in the AZBiliard forum. After much experimentation, I have implemented the "V" grip into my game. I have noticed a much better feel for the shot using this grip. Therefore, I feel that learning the "V" grip is worth the price of the book. Perhaps other readers will find some of the other information enlightening.
